About the OTA Student Leadership Organization at Macomb Community College
Our commitment to our students is to provide leadership and mentoring to develop future leaders in the Occupational Therapy profession. The Advocate and Educate Conference is instrumental in funding the scholarship which assists future students entering the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Macomb Community College. The scholarship honors the memory of fellow students who have passed away. |
About A&E 2019Advocate & Educate Mission:
Educating students and practitioners on emerging practice areas of occupational therapy, hosted by the Macomb Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant Student Leadership Organization. Together, the students of the organization have developed a conference to promote, advocate, and educate students and practitioners on the emerging practice areas of occupational therapy with a focus on the centennial vision. We are a non-profit, volunteer-based organization led and maintained by current and former students. Faculty advisors guide us on our mission to educate the community, provide volunteer services, fund-raise for various causes, and advocate for our distinct area of practice, promoting independence and changing lives.
